The German potato trade gathers in Hamburg on the evening of 29 September for the seventy-third International Potato Autumn Exchange, organised by the German Potato Trade Association. The meeting takes place at Hotel Hafen Hamburg, with doors opening at half past four and the programme starting at five. Hamburg's economy senator Melanie Leonhard will speak, followed by market analyst Christoph Hambloch of AMI, who will review current developments and give an outlook for the coming months, and association president Thomas Herkenrath. The date follows the federal agriculture ministry's preliminary harvest results, planned for twenty-three September, so traders will arrive with official volume and quality data. The event is open to trade, packing, breeding, processing and technology companies.
